Advocacy organizations bear the blame for not focussing on the historical context of the conflict and unfortunately, international misconceptions have had negative effects on the nature of the situation. So what began as a resource conflict has now become a complex mix of god knows what. I also share Jon's views on labeling Darfur a genocide, because it doesnt matter how you label it, the people of Darfur need help- one that has political implications.
